Jonny's career defining moment came in the last minute of extra time in the World Cup Final against Australia, when he clinched victory for England with that infamous kick. He was voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year soon after. His England debut was in 1998 and by the end of 2003 he had scored 817 points in 52 matches for his country: more than twice as many as any other player. He captained England from 4 October 2004.
